Fans of the Toyota Highlander have been waiting and now we have finally seen the redesigned 2020 Toyota Highlander in the flesh. With an appearance at the Miami International Auto Show, the new Highlander shows off a stunning new exterior design with interior touches to match. Concord Toyota is here to let you in on what to expect when the new Highlander hits our showroom near Waterworld California later this year.

Built on a foundation of safety, reliability, and comfort, the 2020 Toyota Highlander promises to be a natural evolution that advances an already excellent model. Three rows of passenger space make it the perfect vehicle for a family road trip, and the configurable interior gives it the versatility to be a cargo mover as well.

The appearance differences in the 2020 Highlander are largely up front, with all-new LED headlights leading the way. The sculpted design is more streamlined and modern than the previous version, and are now separate from the grille design. That grille changes from a top-to-bottom flared shape to a single upper trapezoid with a chrome accent and Toyota badge slicing across the top. Below, a lower cooling grille and reinforced air dam gives the new Highlander a more aggressive stance and rugged sensibility.

You’ll still have the choice between a powerful V6 engine or fuel-efficient hybrid model, and while power numbers haven’t yet been released the fuel economy remains strong. The V6 delivers a Toyota-estimated 22 mpg combined while the hybrid clocks in at an estimated 34 mpg.

Available in five unique trims, the 2020 Highlander offers Bay Area drivers plenty of choice. Upper trims will feature a 12.3-inch infotainment display and the available JBL Premium audio system is a true powerhouse at 1,200 watts.
