prius goes plural Prius Plug-In Incentives

The first deliveries of PHV are fast approaching.  Due to its class leading economy and environmental leadership, we are pleased to announce that it has qualified for incentives here in California. While we are excited to provide you with basic information on the incentives and links to direct information on them, please use caution with their usage as a sales tool.  These are not Toyota programs and there are many qualifying guidelines and limitations associated with them.

The Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) is funded by the California Environmental Protection Agency's Air Resources Board (ARB) and administered statewide by the California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE). A total of $11.1 million has been appropriated to promote the production and use of zero-emission vehicles (ZEV), including electric, plug-in hybrid electric, and fuel cell vehicles. Rebates of up to $2,500 per light-duty vehicle are available for individuals and business owners who purchase or lease new eligible zero-emission or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.  Grants are available when a vehicle is either purchased or leased for 36 months or longer.  Rebates will be provided to consumers on a first-come first served basis contingent upon the availability of CVRP funding. The Prius Plug-In Hybrid incentive program can be accessed via the website at:

Our initial estimate is that the PHV will qualify for a $1,500 rebate from CVRP while funds remain.

In addition, Green CAV decals will be issued to the first 40,000 applicants that purchase or lease cars meeting California's Enhanced Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (Enhanced AT PZEV) requirements. Vehicles qualifying for this new CAV decal will be added to ARB's website. For more information, visit
